1. ЛІНІЙКА ДО ВІДКРИТТЯ ТИЖНЯ АНГЛІЙСЬКОЇ МОВИ У ШКОЛІ
Мета:
Ø Розповісти про сучасне значення англійської мови як світової мови та мови міжнародного спілкування.
Ø Розвивати ерудицію та естетичні смаки учнів.
Ø Виховувати інтерес та повагу до культури (зокрема поезії) англомовних країн.
Обладнання: політична карта світу, плакат «Нова мова – новий світ», вірші,що надруковані на листівках з краєвидами Великої Британії.
                                      ЗМІСТ ЛІНІЙКИ:
Вчитель. Доброго дня! Сьогодні ми розпочинаємо тиждень англійської мови в нашій школі. Щодня учні школи будуть показувати свої  досягнення у вивченні англійської мови. З планом проведення тижня ви можете ознайомитись у кабінеті англійської мови та на шкільному віснику.

Ведучий 1 В наш час для того, щоб мати гарну роботу, потрібно знати іноземні мови. Найпоширеніші мови в світі – китайська, іспанська, англійська й деякі інші мови. Але кожна добре освічена людина в світі говорить англійською, тому що це – мова спілкування, бізнесу, науки й культури.

Ведучий 2 – Англійська мова зараз найважливіша і найпоширеніша мова у світі. Це державна мова в п’яти країнах : Великобританії, Канаді, США, Австралії і Новій Зеландії. Англійська мова – одна з шести офіційних робочих мов Організації Об’єднаних Націй. Це – друга робоча мова в Європейському Співтоваристві.

Ведучий 3 – У багатьох Азійських та Африканських країнах, як наприклад в Індії або в Єгипті, в колишніх Британських колоніях люди говорять англійською, крім їхньої рідної мови. Люди також говорять англійською в Європі. Англійською мовою розмовляють практично по всьому світу.

Ведучий 1 – Незалежна Україна  має відносини з багатьма країнами. Усе більше прямих контактів встановлюється з країнами Європи, Сполученими Штатами, Великобританією, Канадою та іншими Англомовними країнами та вже й планує вступити до Європейського Союзу.
Екологічний розвиток приводить до утворення сотень спільних підприємств в багатьох містах і містечках України. Багато іноземних делегацій прибуває до нашої країни. В свою чергу наші бізнесмени, туристи, експерти часто виїжджають за кордон. Англійська – мова міжнародного спілкування, тому дуже важливо вивчати її.

Ведучий 2 – Зараз багато людей вивчають іноземні мови будь-яким можливим, достроковим шляхом. Групи вивчення іноземної мови організовані на промислових підприємствах, в офісах великих фірм, в освітніх установах, в дослідницьких інститутах. А ще є багато можливостей безкоштовного вивчення мови через інтернет.

Ведучий 3 – Англійська мова варта вивчення. Існують відомі вислови :
«Скільки мов ти знаєш, стільки разів ти людина», а також «Нова мова – новий світ». Разом із вивченням мови ми заглиблюємось в історію, географію, культуру, традиції, у світогляд інших країн, народів.

Ведучий 1 – Кожна людина, яка вирушає за кордон , повинна бути здатна знайти свій власний шлях в англомовному суспільстві без перекладачів.

Ведучий 2 – Якщо ви візьмете собі за мету, вивчити мову, якою творили свої шедеври Шекспір і Байрон, Діккенс і Конан Дойль, Драйзер і Хемінгуей, якою співали легендарні «Бітлз», то ви обов’язково знайдете шляхи і способи досягти своєї мети.

Конкурс пропонується  в рамках тижня англійської мови та передбачає систематизацію та актуалізацію знань учнів з країнознавчих тем, підвищує інтерес до вивчення англійської мови. Матеріал охоплює такі країни, як Великобритания, США, Канада, Австралія, Нова Зеландія. 

Правила проведення конкурсу:

Мета та завдання:
-         розвивати пам’ять та увагу учнів;
-         розширювати світогляд школярів;
-         зацікавлювати учнів до вивчення англійської мови;
-         виховувати почуття відповідальності, взаємоповаги та співпраці.

Хід конкурсної програми
Ведучий: Hello, boys and girls! We gathered here to find the most cheerful and quick–witted team. Look, we have two teams: …..and….”. Now let me introduce our jury.
Привіт всім! Ми зібралися, щоб визначити найвеселішу та найкмітливішу команду. Перед вами дві команди: …..та…”. А зараз дозвольте представити наше журі.

Ведучий: So, let’s start our competition. Отже, розпочинаймо наше змагання.

Ведучий: Let’s play such a game: make up as many words as possible out of the given title “Interesting Adventures”. You may use the letters twice within a word. Every word will bring you one point. You have 3 minutes. Write the words on the sheet of paper.
Давайте пограємо у таку гру: складіть так багато слів як можливо із запропонованого заголовку. Ви можете використовувати букви двічі в одному слові. Кожне слово – це 1 бал. У вас є 5 хвилин. Пишіть слова на листках у стовпчик.

I was thirteen
I was thirteen. I herded lambs
 Beyond the village on the lea.
 The magic of the sun, perhaps,
 Or what was it affected me?

 The time for lunch had long passed by,
 And still among the weeds I lay
 And prayed to God…. I know not why
 It was so pleasant then to pray
 For me, an orphan peasant boy,
 Or why such bliss so filled me there?
 The sky seemed bright, the village fair,
 The very lambs seemed to rejoice!
 The sun’s rays warmed but did not sear!
 But not for long the sun stayed kind,
 Not long in bliss I prayed….
 It turned into a ball of fire
 And set the world ablaze.
